I'm developing a report site that will be accessed by mobile devices (mainly
a Nokia 770 Internet tablet). The site works fine up to the point that the
user selects a report or chart to view, then stops. The problem stems from
the mobile device being unable (for whatever reason) to resolve short server
names; to navigate to the site initially, the user must use a fully
qualified domain name, ie, http://myserver/Reports needs to be addressed as
http://myserver.country.company.com/Reports. This in itself isn't a
problem, but for some unknown reason the report or chart page is called from
http://myserver/Reportserver which the mobile device can't see.
I'm trying to find a way to force a fully qualified domain for the
Reportserver URL, but I can't see where this should be set. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Randall Arnold
